I worked on these burners since 1984 , this video sucks, it offers no specificity of applications relative to auxiliary relay , or electronic air damper or anything else in a concise sensical manner . The presentation is asine at best, utterly incompetent at its limit. Only a mosquito on crack cocaine can fly about more erratically than the imbecile narrator can based on the equally erratic mechanic who has not been sequenced correctly .. please do not follow this shit video it is a recipe for failure . The manuals are a better proposition . Riello`s a excellent burners, far better quality than Beckett , Carlin , Sloan , Wayne, and so on ... but they require a different approach to service them... factory instruments and testers are widely available ..but even without them they are no special mystery all of the electrical values are available as is everything else needed to set them to correct running modes. The only weakness in RIELLO `s is pump lift... that is minor price to pay for a SUPERLATIVE OIL BURNER designed in 1969 and still unbeaten by any other manufacturer on earth.

These things are way out of my league, spent over 4 hours on one today, then fixed a beckett in under and hour right after my riello debacle

To replace one part you have to take apart the burner almost completely! Junk !!! I’ll take a Beckett over that any day !!!!

NOTE!!!! Before testing capacitor DISCHARGE FIRST. To safely discharge a capacitor you will need a 20,000 ohm 5 watt resistor, two insulated screwdrivers and two jumper wires with alligator clips on both ends. Connect one jumper wire clip to one wire of the resistor and clip the other jumper wire to the other resistor wire. Connect the clips on the opposite ends of both jumper wires to different screwdrivers, hold the handles of the screwdrivers and touch the blades to opposite terminals of the capacitor. Good video, for licensed Oil Burner Techs.
